Worth going from 2 4870 512's to one 4890?

I was just wondering, if it would be worth it (or wise) to go from 2 512 4870s xfire to one 4890 1g (for now) or would it be better to wait for the next gen cards (i.e. the 5870 or gtx300)?

Certainly not, two 4870's in CF would murder a single 4890.

Agree with the others; The change would be a downgrade and while I would not normally suggest waiting on the basis of rumours of future products, in this case it's the best thing to do.

4890 is 50% slower tan 2 4870s

Certainly a downgrade like other said...
But maybe for reducing the electricity bill, you can do that 😛
You can expect newer cards from ATI by this year end...

well you guys are prob right....better to save money now and see what future holds...just had a case off the upgrade bug.
