[SOLVED] Worth it to buy a used PSU?

Hey all, i have an offer to buy a Corsair AX Series AX860 ATX 80+ Platinum PSU for $100.

Is there any way I can check how good the PSU is? Or if it's still good? And if it's good should i buy it?

Hard pass for me. One of the reasons to buy a high-quality PSU is safety and you have little idea how it was used over these years.

I wouldn't buy it.
The warranty on that PSU is limited to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
So, you might think is a good deal, but if something goes awry, you are on your own.
You could get a 850W RMx for $45 more. It comes with 10-year warranty and peace of mind.

Do you know the seller?
Do you trust the seller?
Why is it being sold?
860W is strong enough to power virtually anything so I don't think it is being sold for a stronger unit.
Perhaps it has been stolen.
The AX860 is a top tier unit, but anything can go bad.
A unstable psu can cause all sorts of intermittent and hard to diagnose problems.

I would pass at any price.

Used PC parts Not to buy, here is the list.

1. None of them! You never know how hard it was used or if they were having issues with it. The only exception is maybe if it was from a family member or a very good friend and both said if it doesn't work right they will give you the money back.
