Hi

Guys building up a new computer and was wondering i have a asus maximus 8 alpha motherboard and going i7 6700k chip but not sure which would be better. Corsair 16X4 ROG dominator Platinum bundle Ddr4-3200 ( pc4-25600) , CL16 , 1.35v - 288pin or just running
2x16 dominator platinum memory sticks.

Thank you in advance

If it just for gaming, then it wouldn't even matter. No game would even touch 32GB, so it's just extra space for nothing. By good deal and bundle, I hope it's under 100, because a 8GBx2 set is around 80 which is perfect for your needs. Obviously the more ram at better speeds is beest. However, in this situation I would recommend saving and just gettign an 8GBx2 set and upgrade later if you wish. Running dual channel with 16GBx2 should be good.

Hi

Well It is just for gaming but i can get it for a good price and it is a bundle of 64 gigs. So the question actually is I have 64 gigs 3200 mhz would 32gigs 2x 16 run better then 4 x 16. Do I just leave the other 2 slots open.

It really seems like you have no budget. Do you know how to overclock? It will work just fine. But again, you will not notice it with gaming, with say 2133mhz and 16GB. Again, if this is JUST for gaming, why not save $200, get 16GB and use the savings for a new GPU or something. Again my recommendation.

I would go with the CMD16GX4M2B3200C16. One because it's cheaper, and two because it is faster. Your motherboard doesn't support quad channel, so you will be running two dual channels, which is pointless. The 8GBx2 is your best bet.
