Worth selling my GTX 980 ti FTW for GTX 1080

Hello,

I have a EVGA GTX 980 ti FTW would it be worth the hassle of selling my 980 ti and then buying a GTX 1080. I don't plan on getting a 4k monitor and currently on play at 1080 144hz. I was thinking about maybe getting one of those 1440 165hz monitors but am unsure. Would it be worthy upgrade or should I wait for the 1080 ti or whatever it will be called.

It will be like 1.8% the performance or something, id say its worth it.

I doubt it would be worth it, my friend has a 980ti strix and the games we play on his 1200p monitor he leaves all settings on max on titles like division, battlefield etc.

I can only imagine if hed sell it and get a 1080 the max settings visuals would be the same on his 1200p monitor as his current 980ti

possible difference on 2k resolutions but it can only be minimal in my opinion

the difference would be if he replaced the monitor for a better 1 , the monitor can only display what it can no matter what video card u add to it

if you didn't get the gtx 1080 by now the odds are you'll be waiting about a month or so , they're all sold out everywhere including NVidia's website
