I was thinking of upgrading my CPU to a newer AMD chip aka the FX 8350 coming from a over clocked 1090T at 3.812ghz. I currently use a older model motherboard which is the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/usb3.
Is it worth upgrading to this newer CPU? And do I need to buy a new MOBO or can I update my BIOS to make it compatible? Also, I do not plan on buying the newer chips of the FX 9... as they seem WAY to power hungry and just not worth the upgrade and if I get the FX 8350 I will be attempting a 5ghz to 5.2ghz over clock.
Specs:
ASUS M4A89GTD PRO USB 3
NVIDIA GTX 670 GIGABYTE WINDFORCE 3X
AMD 1090T 3.8GHZ OC - HYPER 212+
CORSAIR VENGEANCE 1333MHZ 8GB
128GB VERTEX 4 SSD
1TB SEAGATE HDD
700W STEALTH2 CORSAIR PSU
NZXT PHANTOM ENTHUSIAST CASE
