I recently upgraded my PC at the end of last year but have been slightly underwhelmed by its performance. I'm having real trouble with Skyrim as it keeps going over the 2GB limit of my R9 270 with Skyrim HD Texture (Lite version) and Seasons of Skyrim (No-DoF) causing CTD's in exteriors aswell as running dangerously close to >30 fps, generally around 40-35. I was looking at an EVGA GTX 980 SC (http://www.cplonline.com.au/evga-geforce-gtx-970-4g-superclocked-graphic-card-04g-p4-0974-kr-45488.html).
So my question is: Is it worth the upgrade now or should I wait a year or 2 for the 20/16nm cards to be released?
BTW I'm gaming on a single 1920x1080 monitor. Just ask for any additional info. Thanks
