Worth the upgrade?

Hi there,

I want to upgrade my cpu, mobo and ram,
Actually I'm using an i7 4770k 4.5ghz with corsair h100i gtx without touching volts, mobo gigabyte z97-ud5hbk and ddr3 1600mhz vengeance 2x8gb. running it with a strix 1080 ti

My cpu is almost 4 years old, runs well but i would like to upgrade, mainly i game at 1440p 144hz and 4k 60hz, should i wait to intel 8gen? the socket will change again with 8gen? what about a ryzen 7 refresh?

btw: im building an rgb pc i would like a strix mobo, trident z rgb ram

its a good idea to wait. ur pc isnt that old or lacking in omph! 2k and above puts more strain on gpu. u r covered there.
decide on ryzen refresh or white haven series or intel coffee lake or cannon lake after they have released.
