Question Worth the upgrade?

Hello,

I am aware my hardware is super outdated for gaming, however, still performs to a decent level but is beginning to struggle. I currently have a I5 4570 (3.2ghz) socket LGA1150 the next upgrade for this CPU would be the I7 4790K just trying to get some peoples opinions would it be worth the upgrade?

Or should I maybe upgrade to a LGA1151 with more CPU options, however, I would only have enough for 8gb of ram than 16gb of ram if I was to purchase a new cpu, mobo and ram.

What's your budget? RAM isn't that expensive anyway, you can always get another two sticks down the road.

My budget right now is around 600 GPB for the motherboard, cpu and ram so I am pushing it a little.

Why not a Ryzen 3800x? Decent performance, fits nicely in your budget.
I have a 4790K at the moment (hoping to upgrade soon). It is decent, but if you want Intel, kight be worth having a look at a second hand 7700K or 8700K.
