Question Worth to only upgrade GPU in low end PC to improve gaming?

Hi there

I have a rather low end self-built PC that I mainly used to rip Blu-Rays.
Occasionally I use it to play some steam games, at the moment primarily Civilization VI.
Because of the components I only get low frame rates around 20fps at Full HD. It is somehow playable, but can drop lower so that it is not very playable anymore.

Current components:
  • Mainboard: ASRock FM2A75M-ITX Mainboard
  • CPU / GPU: AMD A10-5700
  • RAM: 16GB
  • OS: Win10

Would you think that getting a decent budget graphics card like a Radeon RX 560 would benefit my graphics quality and fps significantly or is it a waste of money and the performance would not improve much?

What I would like to be able to play games like Civ VI in Full HD with mid to high graphic settings at a decent fps (50 or so).

Thanks for your opinion!
Aaron

Ah sad! I am not really able to invest much more than 200 USD at the moment...so a decent platform upgrade just isn't at reach.

I am going to check the current CPU usage during CIV gaming...
