Worth upgrading an AMD Athlon X4 840 to 860k/880k (or other FM2+ cpu)?

So as the title states, I currently have an amd athlon x4 840 cpu and I was wondering if it's worth upgrading to any other FM2+ processor.

I have a GTX 1050 (not ti) and I think I get bottlenecked with x4 840.
Could you please help regarding this issue?

No. Save your money for a complete system replacement. The FM2+ motherboard is a dead-end.

Agreed, in the strongest possible way, with Kanewolf. Do NOT throw away any money on the FM2 platform.

Full rebuild required, no point investing a sincle cent into this platform. Vitually any desktop CPU you buy today, even the lowest end, will perform better.
