[SOLVED] Worth Upgrading? Can this system handle it?

Hi guys.

Here is current specs of my sons computer we built for him 5-6 years ago. He still pay games on it, but GPU really showing the signs of aging. We were looking around and looks like we can find a GTX1650 Super for about $160 . We cant afford to build him a new system now. Question is will his current system be a good fit for GTX 1650 Super or CPU and Ram will be a bottle neck without ability to upgrade. Or save money and build new system.

Current Setup:

Intel Core i5-4460 3.2 GHz

ASUS GeForce GTX 750Ti 2GB

ASRock ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming - Fatal1ty Z97 Killer

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 1333

EVGA 100-W1-500-KR 500W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified

The 1650 Super will be a massive upgrade over the 750ti and shouldn't have any major bottleneck issues with the i5 and can be carried over to a new build down the line.

Unfortunately people are still being really stupid with old i7 prices so finding one for a reasonable price most likely wont happen. The CPU is worth maybe 50-60 bucks but people for whatever reason still are charging 150 and up. Its the well I bought it for this much mentality at it's worst.

If you do decide to upgrade his rig I strongly suggest checkout out the used Ryzen market. You can pick up 1st and 2nd Gen Ryzens pretty cheap, maybe 60-80 bucks for a Ryzen 1600, 70-100 for a 2600 (or a new 2600 for 120) and 30-50 bucks for the mobo (id recommend a B450) and then some DDR4 3200mhz RAM is maybe 40 or 50 used.
