Worth upgrading from 6300 to 8370 with GTX 960?

Basically what the title says, would it be worth upgrading from a FX 6300 to either the FX 8350 or 8370? I am installing a new GTX 960 and am wondering if it would be worth it to perform the upgrade. Also, are there any major differences between the 8350 and 8370 that require it to be around $40 more? I have seen on many other sites that unless the 6300 is extremely pushed to its boundaries in overclocking, that it experiences stuttering in VR. Thanks!

Honestly your best bet with that board is ocig your 6300 you have. It won't run either of those CPUs long term.

I am currently using a GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 as my motherboard.

Then a definite no. I'd be leaning towards no already unless you got a way below-market price for the 8350/8370. Those budget AM3+ run 125W CPUs rather terribly, so it's not worth the bother. You're at your last stop on the AM3+ subway.

The main reason I say not worth it is that in most situations that 6300 gets you performance close enough to the 8 series in gaming that if your 6300 isn't enough for the game the 8 series FX won't be either.
