Question Worth upgrading from i5 4570 to i7 4770/k matched with an RX 570?

I have no plan to upgrade the GPU anytime soon and I actually run games on required frames but I more than often see CPU usage at 100% while the GPU is always below 50%, should I upgrade my processor or wait a few years and upgrade the whole system? Note, I have a 60 Hz monitor and don't plan to upgrade it soon

Specs;
i5 4570 @3.2 GHz
RX 570 4GB
12 GB DDR3
1 TB HDD

The RX 570 is a 'medium quality at 1080P' card for most newer games...; if you are happy that that level of detail, then keep it as long as you are content with it.... (The RX 580 is a max detail/1080P card, and even adequate at 1440P /medium in many games...)

As the RX570 is a 4 GB of RAM card, but, realistically only fast enough for medium detail 1080P, you might rarely see higher usage no matter what CPU is utilized, so, I'd not worry much about levels of usage. If your frame rates are acceptable, that's what matters.)

Owners of many 4c/4t CPUs have been complaining of minimum FPS issues in many of the newer more demanding games, but, this will vary according to refresh rate needed (60 Hz vs. 144 HZ, etc), and, general strength of GPU.

If you could find a killer deal on a 4c/8t CPU (under $80-$100) I'd consider it...

Otherwise, I'd just plan your R5-3600/B450 board/DD4 combo upgrade like half the gaming planet is... :)

I would say no to buying the i7-4770. Unless, as mdd1963 pointed out, you get a killer deal, or free. the i7-4770k is definitely the better number cruncher. But for gaming, the gains are fairly small.

Found these two reviews that compare the two CPU's for games. About a 1-8% better performance. So keep that in mind when deciding if

More importantly, if you are happy playing the current games, then that is just another reason to stick with what you have, and save your money for 10th or better gen.

Note: I'm happily playing Battlefield 1 on an i5-4760k with 8gb memory and a 2gb AMD-7850-2GB card. 95-100% CPU utilization. The only reason I am considering upgrading is the motherboard PCIe slots (maybe the CPU?) are getting flaky and I've gotten the upgrade bug fever as a result :) Otherwise I probably would have been happy with the setup for the next couple years.

I'm trying to stay away from upgrading the whole system as I'm currently on a budget, and can't really afford new DDR4 + Motherboard + Processor, so I'm sticking to my only option for this year. I could save up and get a whole new system in a few years. I'll be getting the i7 for a reasonable price too.
