Is it worth upgrading from a i7-4790 to a i5 10400F? I’m currently using a GTX 1080 and notice severe bottlenecking, specially when playing warzone (which I can’t even reach 50 fps). Would that be a logical and worthwhile upgrade?

Solution
I have 16 GB RAM. And I’m honestly not sure why... I expected better results from my current CPU + GPU but it just doesn’t go over 50 FPS. Would the upgrade I mentioned above be good though? Like is it worth it?
It would definitely be much better, but a lot more expensive.
I made this combo:

Paired the 10400f with a god b460 atx motherboard, with good upgradabilty options and nice design.
Also added some nice rgb corsair ram since you dont need to chase high frequenct ram with intel, since there is little to no benefit of it.
How can you not reach 50fps with 4790 and 1080?
I have no problems reaching 50fps at 1920x1200 at competitive settings which are ussually all low, normal with my i3 3240 and r9 380 4gb with 16gb of ram
Warzone hates 8gb of ram,you can run a 5950x and 3090 with 8 gb of ram and still strugle to get 40fps.
How much ram do you have?
I think adding more ram will be less expensive than buying a whole new cpu/ram/mobo.

honestly, I don’t mind spending a bit of money for some quality. I just want to play Warzone at around 100 FPS lol. Thank you for the recommendation by the way

Actually just one more thing , is this motherboard better than the one you recommended?

Warzone is a bit hard on quad cores, my cousin with a 4790 and 1660 playing Warzone maxes the CPU out no matter the settings but I do remember him getting under 100fps but deff above 60 nearly all the time. You'd want a 6 core 12 thread chip to get the full potential out of the 1080 on that game.
