Worth Upgrading to 1060?

I got a 1050 2GB and an intel pentium g4560. A guy I know is selling his 10603gb for $180 which is a good deal but is it worth it? Imma sell my 1050 for like $120 so the upgrade is really only gonna cost like $60.

For $60 out of pocket, doesn't sound too bad. Many of the more CPU-intensive titles will be choking on the G4560 though.

The upgrade would make the most sense if you are planning to upgrade the CPU in the foreseeable future.

Yeah im thinking of upgrading to the i5-6400 too i found one on ebay for $120. Is that a sizable upgrade?

You can expect ~50% better performance from a 4C4T i5 compared to a similarly clocked 2C4T i3.

I personally don't like CPU upgrades smaller than 100%, so I'd save another ~$150 for an i5-8400 + H370 motherboard and reuse the RAM.

what about a ryzen 5 1400? Would it pair well with the 1060 3gb? 4 cores and 8 threads for only 130$ seems great. (I edit videos more than I play games so extra cores/threads is of interest to me) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GCQZ7h

Was just looking at that and it does look good for the price. Think that with the 1060 is a really good dea for a total of about $380
