I wouldn’t go back from 1080p. The difference isn’t gigantic but it’s a lot nicer, even for general desktop usage. Also for FPS titles you can always drop settingsI want to hit 60fps in AAA games and for the esports titles the video card can handle 144hz.But my main question was, in visual quality 1440p is such big pf a jump over the 1080p?
I play a lot of League of Legends, sometimes CSGO and Overwatch and some other easports, and for AAA titles, i just want to play everytingwhat kind of games do you play?
sight seeing, eye candy games (i.e, witcher, dark souls idk) would deeply benefit from the higher resolution.
but, since fps tanks, fps games like csgo or call of duty wont be happy with that decision.
Doesn’t really. If you’re playing online whoever has the best ping has the advantage no matter how fast your monitor is.I have 9700K and GTX 1070 with a QHD monitor, capable of 144 Hz.
With Battlefield V, unless I upgrade my graphic card. I don't have a chance to play more than 100 Hz (My fps is between 65 to 90 depending on map), and I seriously started to think playing the game in HD resolution, because fps matters - seriously matters.
So, the answer to your question, if you are making this upgrade mostly for multiplayer FPS, don't do it. Or do it but yet accept to play the game with lower fps or changing the resolution back to HD (that makes the upgrade unnecessary for gaming) or also upgrade your graphic card. It is your choice.
