Hey i have a i5 8600k cpu and gtx 1070 Ti graphics card and 32gb ddr4 2400mhz ram. and my motherboard is= ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME Z370-P (LGA1151)

my question is If i upgrade to 3200mhz ram instead of 2400mhz ram can it improve fps drops in games like Rust(games that are lesser optimized and has fps drops that why.)
I have checked around and post on forums and it seems upgrading your RAM wont improve your fps much but how about reducing fps drops?
I hope anyone who knows about this can help?
Kind regards, Shadowcat

But it can help against fps drops in for example Rust?
The ram i have in mind is not so expensive and i have extra cash so cash is not really a problem.

After installing 3200mhz ddr4 RAM total 32gb (16x2) i have noticed a bit better fps in Rust. i think no difference in CS GO and Legends of Aria seem to lag a bit more^^

Your fps dips are probably more related to the speed of the drive you are using, you have excellent throughput with the cpu and memory, but if your hard drive cant keep up with delivering the data you are going to get lag, dips, stutters etc.
