Hi,

I currently have an i5 4690k @ 3.9GHz along with an ASUS Z97-AR MOBO. I was thinking about upgrading to an i7 7700K but I realized it has an 1151 socket (my MOBO is 1150). I think the best 1150 socket i7 is the 4790k - is it really worth upgrading to this? Or should I upgrade my MOBO for an 1151 socket and DDR4? Or maybe I should wait a while? I mostly game and run multiple programs on a different monitor e.g. spotify, G. chrome w/ a twitch/youtube broadcast on, usually have to turn resolution to 360p on those because CPU usage. Here is the full system:
Windows 10 Pro
ASUS Z97-AR
i5 4690k @ 3.9GHz
ASUS GTX 1060 3GB
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM 2x8GB
Corsair RM750 PSU
250GB SSD
500GB HDD
If not an i7, thinking about getting an M.2 drive or a bigger HDD.
Thanks for any help.
