Worth upgrading...?

Now what I'm seeing is games like Q4, AoE3 and WoW are playable but could be better in my opinion and I'd like to turn some settings high in say Q4 and AoE3. I'd like to know if it's worth it to upgrade to say a p4 2.4 and if I'll notice a big difference. I'm thinking 128kb cache to 512 should improve quality at least a little bit.

Yes, if you go to 1gig and increase from a celeron to 700mhz and 386k more cache that you get a good bargain on is worth it, especially if you also get satisfaction from tinkering with your PC.

Just make sure you get the correct chip. It will depend on what your motherboard supports mostly. Just the same, avoid the prescott chips, if humanly possible.
