Hello everyone!
So currently I have a sort of a gaming pc
specs:

CPU: AMD x4 860k 3,7 GHz
Ram: Silicon power 8GB 1600mhz (one stick)
GPU: Nvidia gtx 1050ti OC edition

I've had this computer for some time now and would like to upgrade to something better but I'm not sure if I need to because this current pc can play most games at least 40 fps which is ok for me. I'm planning to use some stuff from my current rig probably the case, power supply, and the GPU, I chose these components:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X (YD260XBCAFBOX)
Mobo: MSI 320M PRO-VH Plus
Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX DRR4, 2x8GB, 3200Mhz (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16W)
the total cost for these components is
329.99 euros or 364.68 USD

What do you think should I start gathering money and buy these components or should I continue using my current rig?
If you have suggestions on what should I replace for something else please go ahead and suggest me them mind that I'm only 16 years old and I can't go over the top with an RTX 2080ti even tho I would want to :D

Hi and welcome to the forums.
What country are you in? we can look at the prices and supplies available to you.
what is your current PSU? how old is it?
I live in Latvia, my current PSU is an SL-500 everyone is telling me to replace it and I will soon, its been in the system from the start.
I've had the system for 2-3 years.
the main websites I look for parts is
https://220.lv/lv/
and
https://www.1a.lv/

only Latvian shop I know of. for your consideration - the parts not the retailer.

you should either get the 2600 or a 350 chipset. the X is made for overclocking and the 320 boards cannot overclock.
I added a PSU that should do you for a while.

Thanks for putting these parts together for me!! What do you think about going for intel CPUs? I saw that some i5 CPUs can get 10-20 fps more in certain games. Is it worth it or should I go for the AMD platform?

I'm squarely on the AMD side. the motherboards have much longer support - longer socket life. more affordable.
if gaming performance is the only metric then intel assuming you play those games that benefit.
I don't use my pc for anything besides gaming, I've heard that AMD is great for streaming and it is used by many content creators, and intel is mainly for gaming. So I just want to make sure if I'm making the right choice in an upgrade because I want these new components to last another 3 years.
