[SOLVED] Would 3 pin fans work in pwm mode with fan hub?

If I plug in a 4 pin fan hub and connect 3 pin fans to the hub, would the fans be able to use pwm mode?

If not would I be able to control the fans through the hub using my bios, which has smart fan control for dc fans?

No, fourth wire is for PWM pulse, without it only DC mode.
