Hello, I have a Cooler Master GX 550W power supply and I would like to know if it will be sufficient for this build: CPU: i7 4790k(or the i5 4690k), Gigabyte G1 GTX970, ASRock Fatal1ty Z97X KILLER.
Thank you for your fast answer!
Those PSUs are not that expensive, I can fit the i7 and one of those PSUs in my budget, they will work with the i7 too, right?
I personally would go with a minimum of 650 watts with those specs and since that model of Cooler Master(the GX series, not the GXII, was built in 2010-looked it up) is of an older generation P.S., I'd choose an Antec, Corsair, Seasonic over Cooler Master. Here is a good link to enter in your specs if you want to stay with that particular make/model. http://www.coolermaster.outervision.com/

Yes it is compatible with an i7. Power supplies don't care what cpu you run, it just supply power.
Ah, thank you, but would it be sufficient if I want to overclock the CPU and/or the GPU? Because I read somewhere that older PSUs aren't that overclock friendly with the new hardware?
