would a 4670 work on a 300W PSU?

It might work. What video card are you using now?
How old is the system? Overtime PSUs loose the ability to output it's full rated power (300watts in your PC). Less than 2 years old will probably be OK.

That should work.
Your PSU does not have a power connector nor does this GPU.
The GPU does not use much power so it should work.

As others have said, the PSU is old and not great to start so there could be issues but my guess is that you will be fine.

yehh it will work. the 4670 is a low powered card.

dunno much about your power supply though m8

it wiould help if you gave us the rest of your rig's specs though so i could analize it and check and see if you have enough power for the 4670.

no problem, dont want ya to blow your system up;)

ok, i did an analysis of your rig and it is cutting it very close with that particular graphics card(4870) but you are still getting away with it. id say go for it and enjoy but remember not to push your system too much because at peak load, your system is around 250W and have only 50 to spare.
if you want to see the results for yourself, go here:http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine and enter everything in your system to get the amount of wattage your system requires. its been vvery helpful to me and i hope it is to you.

next order from newegg for you: better power supply:D

hope ive been helped!

Did you mean 4670? You said 4870 and I would never think about using that on a 300W PSU. The card doesn't use over 75 W and the 300W should be fine. My little bro has a 350W and he wanted to get a 4670 for his pc.

nah, he didn't get it yet. I got him hooked on the HL2 series and his mobo with the integrated 6100 doesn't cut it. So he uses my pc when I'm gone.
