Would a CPU Upgrade Really Benefit Me?

I recently upgraded to an RX 550 for some gaming on 900p-1080p low, but I cant even play 720p. I know the card isn't great, but I have seen benchmarks MUCH higher than that. I have an AMD A10 6800k, so if I got a new CPU, new mobo for it, and ddr4 ram, would I be able to play my games better?

or a Ryzen 3 with 8GB/Mobo would do the trick as well
