[SOLVED] Would a display port to DVI adapter cause any issues with a RTX 2070 super?

Hey guys, sorry for the dumb question. I don't know much about tech

I have a old "Syncmaster 2243BWX" monitor that has a DVI-D port and a VGA port as its only two ports. The particular RTX 2070 super I wanted has 3 display ports and 1 HDMI port. If I get a display port to DVI cable would that work?

Also my monitor uses DVI-D but the only adapters I can find are only "DVI". Would a normal DVI cable work on a DVI-D port?

I'm sorry to say it but a 2070S is a waste of money with your current monitor.

I'm not looking for 4k or anything like that, just looking to be able to run games with less lag

Yes, it will work. More than likely the adapter is DVI-D, the only other option would be DVI-I and even if for some reason it is, DVI-D will work in a DVI-I port.
