Question Would a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter work ?

System Specifications:
Monitor: LG 22MK400H
Motherboard: GIGABYTE A320M S2H V2
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 570
OS: Linux Mint Cinnamon Xia
GPU and Monitor are connected through HDMI.


My monitor has issues being connected to HDMI, it seems to have less color and FreeSync doesnt work, xrandr --props returns vrr_capable: 0

I've heard these issues dont happen on DisplayPort since its an open standard, my monitor doesnt have Display Port but my GPU has, and i dont know if an adapter would fix these issues

Simple answer, you're yet having to deal with HDMI input to the monitor so no you won't see any difference. You won't be able to circumvent the issue with an active adapter either.
