So I took my processor out today and I think I scaratched it or something as now my computer won't even show a display dispite the fact it is powering on and the fans are working etc and graphics card light is on I'm not sure what to do I think I need a new mb and processor but I'm not sure whether I should send it off to a company in the uk to get the problem diagnosed but that will cost more money and help suggestions are helpful

Was your computer working fine before you removed the CPU?

If so, what exactly did you do, and why do you think it's the motherboard AND the CPU?

It's pretty rare for more than one component to die at the same time.

If you put the CPU back in and it WAS working then it may also be an issue with the way it was mounted.
