Question Would a generic motherboard support ROG Gladius's 2000 hertz Ultra Polling?

I'm creating a system with least response time delay. I'm buying 240 hertz monitor with .5 response time. I don't want to hear any annoying comments about how your eyes cannot tell the difference. Would an expensive motherboard speed up any other sort of input or output lag? Thanks

Not expensive MB but GPU.

I'm going with Saphire RX 5600 XT which is catered specifically for 1080p 240fps gameplay. And the comparison I saw on games I wanna play like Apex Legends, the fps was actually higher than 2080 Ti

Before splitting hairs over the most minute level of input lag and response times, have you done one of the tests to check your response time? Youll quickly see that in the end that worrying that much is really not beneficial.
Motherboard wont have any real impact.

The problem is, among the choice, I don't really see a discernible difference among choices of motherboard unike ram, gpu, harddrive, processor and even cooler. Seems like I could pick any motherboard with the right size and enough slots and it will do the job.

Motherboard features mostly include availability of ports, circuitry heatsinks, power delivery, and overall build quality.
Motherboards (generally) dont have a direct impact on performance.

But I did read on some forum how some motherboard cannot even process mouse with 2000 hertz ultra polling or keyboard with 1000 hertz ultra polling but wasn't able to find any verification for it
