I'm planning on buying a gtx 1080 and ryzen 7 2700x and was wondering if it would be compatible with my PC. I'm also trying to upgrade my ram so if you guys could let me know what kind of ram would work with my PC let me know!

Yes. If you also replace motherboard, ram, possibly PSU and reinstall Windows.
