Would a net gear use wifi adapter work with a AT&T modem?

I recently built my own computer but I can't use wifi on it unless I got either an Ethernet cable which I can't do, or I got an adapter. So I was wondering if a netgear usb wifi adapter work work wi our AT&T modem. Please help

If the AT&T modem is also a wireless router then you should be fine. I'm assuming you have other devices in your home connected to your wireless network, if so, it should work.
