[SOLVED] Would a Old CPU drop FPS and cause Stuttering.

For some games my graphics card: Nvidia 1060 6GB is expected to get 100-200 fps. In these games I experience 50-70 fps and mild stuttering. I was wondering if my Phenomm II X4 965 processor is affecting this or the low fps and stuttering is from other factors.

Your CPU is rather dated and not very good. That definitely could affect performance and can cause stutter.

Phenom X4 often give less than half the frame rates of today's CPUs, so, you are likely getting 'all she is good for'...

Single thread performance on the phenom isn't close to modern or even not so modern processors, so that can contribute a lot to the problem:

Would the Ryzen 5 1600 af help resolve this problem
