Would a R9 290x and a R9 390 crossfire work, and would it be worth it?

Right now I have an Asus R9 290x, and I was bored online so I searched up used graphics cards and found a guy selling his R9 390 for $175. Do you think it would be worth purchasing it and cross firing them?

Here is my system: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jNbDpb

I do realize that I will need a new PSU for it, but I am willing to buy a new higher wattage one if it is worth it.

Right now I am pretty happy with my system, but I always thought it would be cool to have a crossfire config. Do you think it is worth doing in late 2017/early 2018 or should I just build a new computer in the next few years?

your power supply is not enough, you are already pushing it hard with a single 290x

crossfire is not worth the hassle

you...
Yes they'll work, and it's only worth it in crossfire enabled games if you already have a beefy power supply. Two of those can suck back a lot of power gaming.

I like your idea of just moving on to a new build though because that CPU isn't going to feed a pair of those cards in many games unless you are pushing higher resolutions and remove it as the bottleneck.

you would be much better off getting a gtx 1070 for your 1440p monitor
