[SOLVED] Would a ryzen 7 2700x and a 1660 super be a good streaming/gaming setup ?

Hey there,

The 2700x is a great gamer/streamer CPU. Whilst the 1660 Super is no slouch in terms of 1080p gaming, ideally you want something stronger for gaming/streaming. Preferably a RTX2060 Super/2070 and up, or from AMD Radeon 5700/XT so you can be sure you have enough GPU grunt for high in game settings (so it's enjoyable when your playing) and to help with having a good quality output with dropped frames or stuttering.

I think you are talking about this one? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083TS27SF?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1 If so that looks to be the new version with the 14Gbps RAM and it would probably be fine. I haven't seen any reviews of that specific model though. There are a lot of reviews of the Sapphire Pulse and it is basically as fast as a 2060 Founders Edition.
I'd say get the RTX 2060, it's a great card for the price of 300$, It can defeat the RX 5600 XT if you overclock it as the RX 5600 XT is factory overclocked, if you don't want to bother overclocking get the RX 5600 XT, So ye, it's worth spitting out the few extra bucks (literally) to get the RTX 2060

so a ryzen 7 2700x and 5600xt/2060 be good for gaming and streaming at the same time ? and the 2060 founders edition goes for like 500 from what i saw but maybe looked wrong

The 2060 is just about enough for high in game settings, and good stream output at 1080p. Hence the reason I suggested the 2060 Super a min, and the 5700 from AMD. Anything less and you may have to chop around settings to get the desired results.

One could argue about the 5600XT (with new bios) being a good choice, in a budget, but not in terms of longevity for your gaming/streaming efforts.
