I have recently bought an Asus Strix 17.3" gaming laptop (GL753VE). Unfortunately, it suffers from a severe case of backlight bleeding in the top left corner and near the bottom right corner. It's really annoying and incredibly distracting. I tried to RMA it, but after looking at it the Service said that it's not considered a defect by the manufacturer, so they don't have to replace it. The employee that I spoke to went on to say that even if they did replace my screen, the backlight bleed would still be there, which i find really hard to believe. I am seriously considering to order a replacement screen and pay for the procedure myself, but first I want to make sure that this would work in the first place.
