Question Would adding 2 more sticks of RAM hurt my performance?

So as I am running a ryzen 5 1600, i currently only have 8gb(2x4 @ 3000MHz) of ram. I plan to buy more of the same make/brand/specifications and all that, but i am just worried that the performance of the CPU will diminish with 4 sticks vs 2. Reasoning behind the worry is because of the people saying ryzen doesn't work well with more than 2 sticks, etc. I just got a 2060 and all that jazz, and some games underperform with just 8gb on ultra.

EDIT: Also, i know that they're not guarenteed to work together, that's just something i'll have to live with and return if it doesnt.
