I recently got a new 2070, and worried that my PSU would not be up to the task.
A family member, who has experience with building PCs, and thinks it would be fine, however other online questions say otherwise. He's got a 6 pin to 8 pin connector, however I'm really worried that my gpu will blow as a result.

My PSU - Evo Labs Pentium p4 E-700BR
p.s. I can't find the max output power, but on the case it says peak power 700W

That unit is more of an expensive paperweight. Is that the only PSU you have access to? You should be buying into a reliably built unit since the PSU is referred to as the heart of the system. If it has a heart attack, it's going to take out the rest of your investments.
