Would an FM2+ APU be compatible with an FS1r2 socket?

I'm looking to upgrade from an A6 5300m. When I find an appropriate APU that is listed as FS1r2 and then look for a retailer, the retailers list them as FM2+. I'm looking this up on behalf of a friend (I have a desktop, so APU's are foreign to me) and I don't want to mess it up on a punt. Cheers!

Asus has the A8-5550m listed as an upgrade for that model so that one will work for sure.
You may be able to go as high as an A10-5750m but since Asus doesn't list that one it may not be supported.
FS1 (aka FS1r2) are not compatible with FM2 or FM2+. FS1 processors are for laptops, FM2 for desktops.
All an APU is a processor with built in graphics so they come in both laptop and desktop models, FYI.
What model laptop are you looking to upgrade? That usually is the best way to determine which processors it can handle.

It's an all in one, Asus et2221a.

Thanks mate. Had a hard time working out the sockets, didn't think to check the model.
