Would an i5-3340 @ 3.10GHz bottleneck an EVGA GTX 970 FTW?

Hello, I was wondering, I know my CPU is a little on the weak side and I would like to know will it bottleneck an EVGA GTX 970 FTW? And also, can someone recommend a good Intel cpu to upgrade to from the 3340? Preferably under the price of a good i7 since I cannot afford that.

I would say no, not significantly. The i5 4690(K version if you overclock) is a solid chip for a CPU.

Your only worthy CPU upgrade will be an i7-3770/3770K (or Xeon E3-1270 V2); for anything else, you also must change the motherboard. However, the gaming benefits (a few more FPS) will not worth the investment.
