Hello, I have recently got a lenovo thinkcentre m91p small tower, I was planning to get a powersupply, and an R9-280x to be able to game as the CPU in this thing is still capable, but I have regret buying it after looking into the internet and seeing that a lot of people complained about the GPU not working, I really hope they are wrong, as if this happenes I would be extremely annoyed, thanks a lot in advance.

You sure bro? I have read online that other users wasn't able to use AMD cards, I hope that is wrong though.

I see now evidence of a BIOS issue. As noted earlier, you must upgrade your PSU for the GPU to work. Otherwise, I see no reason for the R9 280x to not work in your ThinkCentre M91/p. If you were using the SFF variant, then it would not work.

Do what you feel you need to do. If you have specific links that give you concern, then post them.

All options listed by Lenovo for your system are low-power drawing GPUs. There are also clear documented cases of users having success with gaming GPUs.

Given the age of the system, a better alternative might be something like a GTX 750 ti or GTX 1050 ti. Just something to consider.

Thank you, I know how to use Google.
