would Asus H97M-plus fit in a ThermalTake Core V1?

I am aware that the V1 is a micro ATX, while the H97 is a Mini ATX, but the size of the board seems to fit inside the case, looking at the specs.

The salesman told me that I can remove the 2 drive bay mounted vertically, so the whole surface will be able to fit the H97-M. Is this true? Does anyone have this case and use this motherboard? Is the guy just trying to sell me crap?

I would like to buy a small box case; since I already have the H97M, I am looking for the smallest solution available. Anyone?

Micro tower case can easily fit mini-atx mobo.
