Would changing HDMI - HDMI cable to HDMI-DP cable increase performance?

I have a 4k TV connected along with a monitor. My monitor is connected via a DP cable and my TV is connected via a hdmi cable to my video card. My tv refresh rate is noticeably lower and its even more noticeable when navigating the mouse on it.
Would changing the TV cable from HDMI-HDMI cable to DP-HDMI cable better the performance or experience in any regard?

No. The limiting factor here is "HDMI".
