Would dx12 help me run bf1 better with an i3 4170 and gtx 960?

i know that dx12 usually wouldnt do much in bf1, but since my processor is lower end would i see a difference in performance?
i would check myself, but msi afterburner crashes the game because of some compatibility problem when i run bf1 in dx12 mode. ty for reading, i am unsure how to run this game better, since i clearly have a bottleneck

Graphics card is the GTX 960(the 2GB or 4GB model?), CPU is i3 4170. we need the rest of the specs such as the RAM and PSU.

i would upgrade the CPU to a i5 4590, bf1 is a cpu demanding game and 8GB isnt a good number for that game.

Even that the topic is old, but I wanted to say that the specs listed for BF1 are too high, I have AMD X4 980BE witch is weaker than i3 4170 and i could get 30-40 FPS with my HD7870 in low settings and I am doing just fine in Ultra with my RX480 ...
