Would gtx 1060.6gb be enough for today's games?

Solution
Probably u would be better off with 580, looks like has better performance in future games, the most recent shows good lead over 1060.
Also if you get a special series 580 like the Red Devil Golden Sample or Nitro it should pretty much the same or faster even on Dx11 games.

When the first release of the gtx 980 it was the fastest gpu and it was made for 1440p. And nividia say that the gtx 1060 is equal to gtx 980 in performance so why most people say that the 1060 it's only made for 1080p, i think the 1060 won't max everything on 1440p but for sure it will be high settings, 45 fps or 80 I can't see any difference whatsoever. Nividia specially if it's gonna mark the 1060 for 1440p then there is no use for the 1080ti as;
1050 = 1080p
1060 = 1440p
1070= 4k
These cards can play these resolutions just fine with some tweak i hell won't see the difference between high and ultra.
So in other word nividia is playing and trying to divert our focus through youtubers who aren't actually helping except techdeals, i was thinking of the 1070 for 1440p but after a long research i found that 1060 "3gb version" for 200 bucks is more than enough.
Don't get me wrong I love to hv a high end card and play at 200fps but I can't afford it that doesn't prevent me from playing what i want with very unoticeable compromise though I hated when companies like nividia underrate a card to suck more money out of us.
I don't think that there is a huge difference between 1070 and 1060 at 1440p gaming.
And yeah there is no difference at all between 3gb and 6gb version in gaming 70$ bucks save it for sth else
