Would hard shutdown destroy hard disk

Solution
Hard shut downs are not particularly good for a hard drive but unless you are doing it like every day, it shouldn't cause any physical damage to the drive. The software is a different story. It will mess up your operating system and what ever programs you are running when you shut it down like that.

Alright so that should not wear the hard disk down faster right...And i don't do much work with the pc at all..Just urf the internet, watch videos nd play games,so it is not going to affect any software really as the black screen doesn't happen when playing games...

It is the gpu probably as all the components are new...You can check my other thread ther and see many people there having the same issue with r7 260x(all manufactures)...Not only my thread you can see a lot here in tomshardware and other forums rgarding the random black screesn with r7 260x...So afaik it is a gpu or video driver issue...

Oh, that card... I have a fair amount of experience with that thing.
"Ghz edition"? My foot!.. all my atempts to overclock that thing was so underwhelming, well i did notice that the gpu will shut itself off more relatively quicker than most gpu in its range, well its still a good gpu.

Drivers? If the gpu is working in games then its safe to assume thats working fine.

Yep a build for my cousin. What i actually found was that stability goes out the window if you mess with it. But if you leave it alone and give it ample fresh air, then its ok.

The best stable overclock i could get was 1165 core and 1700 memory clock. No more..

After that, or even anything other than that, blackscreen then after 5 seconds it will turn back on with a system message "video adapter has recovered" or something like that.
