would i be able to over clock 1080 on air

So im getting the founders edition 1080, u think ill be able to overclock it to atleast 2.0 on air? i have the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO for my cooler and my case has two fans in it

The founders edition has worse cooling than the cards from other manufacturers. Meaning higher overclock. If you really want a founders editon, for whatever reason, be prepared for thermal throttleing. The card can't even keep up the boost clock without reaching it's temperature limit..

I most likely doubt that, JAYZTWOCENTZ did a benchmark on crysis, and the 1080 would throttle down as it was hitting the temperature wall, which is 83 degrees. So overclocking up to 2.0 ghz would make you run that fan at a 80-100 % to get that constant clock speed when gaming.
