Would I be Able to Overclock my CPU and GPU with an Asus H170-M Plus motherboard?

I'm gonna build my first pc soon and was just wondering if the Asus H170-M Plus motherboard can be used to overclock the CPU and GPU. I don't have the money to upgrade to a Z170 mobo so I have to get the H170.

I'd also like to get a 2nd GPU for crossfire in the future, but that won't be for a year or so.

My CPU: Intel i5 6600k
My GPU: MSI Radeon R9 390

Is it worth spending the extra money for a Z170?

There's no reason why you can't OC your GPU but H170 doesn't support SLI/Crossfire nor does it support more than very minor overclocking of your CPU.

For SLI / crossfire and overclocking, you need a Z170 motherboard.

That Asus board would give you the ability to OC your CPU as well as use multiple graphics cards.

Yes, sir. That motherboard is SLI / crossfire compatible and is an unlocked motherboard.
