That's the phenom without L3 cache rite? If so, then yes, i think it should make a decent upgrade, especially if you clock the FX up proportionately, to say around 4.5GHz. But don't expect earth shattering improvements

As someone suggested before, sell off your old chip to make your upgrade cheaper. And I think you're educated enough to know to check your mobo's updated manual for CPU compatibility with the latest FX chips, and to flash your mobo with the latest BIOS too

yes it has no l3 cache so it would be a good upgade form my cpu will i see a impovement in games and when i get a hd 7850 if i have tht cpu

Its a 4.0ghz stock, 4.2GHz turbo chip rated at 95W.

Don't noe about OC, coz i don't own one, but you can wait and see what others get. According to my gestimation, 4.5GHz should be easy
