Electrical Safety - (Why we are not all dead) - https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/textbook/direct-current/chpt-3/ohms-law-again/
Interesting... if you've ever worked on old color TV's, the kind with large vacuum picture tubes. If you don't discharge them before working on one you'll get the shock of a lifetime.
30,000+ volts... but picoamps current. The shock probably won't kill you (unless it's across the wrong body part...can you say 'defibrillator'?). But you might bleed out from the the 2" slit on your wrist as your muscles react and reflexively pull back out of the chassis, trip and fall, hitting your head as you do so.
Yet you can safely use the posts to grip that 100A, 12 volt battery to slide it into place in your car. Just don't short the 10mm wrench across them or it could weld itself in place and glow cherry red!
Yes, electrical safety is important, as is PPE and a safety observer in the room when working around hazardous voltages.
