Would increasing my RAM increase my performance?

I have a HP-19 2113w All in One PC. I got it as a gift, so I can't really complain.
However, I do wish it had better performance.
Due to it being an AIO, really the only thing I can upgrade is RAM.

The max RAM is 8GB. RIght now it has 4GB with a 1 x 4GB stick.
The motherboard is shown as a Lupin-C, manufactured by Pegatron.
The CPU/Graphics a 2.41GHz (2.58 w/ turbo) Bay Trail-D Celeron J1800 w/ Intel HD graphics.
The full specs of the PC I have can be found here, http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04325034

Under Mewmory Upgrade Info, it says this -
- Dual channel memory architecture
- Two 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM sockets
- Supports PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
- Non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
- Supports 1 GB, 2 GB, and 4 GB SODIMMs
- Supports up to 8 GB on 64-bit system

SO I am wondering if I upgrade the RAM to the max, would it make any noticeable difference in performance?
The PC is used for school (Word, Internet, Seminars online, etc) and light gaming (Steam games, Free to Play games like WoW, etc).

If it would help, I was looking at this RAM to possibly use, it costs $25:
Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB DDR3-1600 SODIMM

Or if you think something else would be better, feel free to mention it.
I was going to look on PCPartPicker, but I am not sure which RAMs are compatible, or which to look for. If someone could help me out with that, I would appreciate it as well.

Something else I was wondering. If I upgrade it, do I need to just buy 1 more 4GB stick, and have the old stick with 1 new stick, or should I buy 2 new 4GB sticks and run 2 new ones?
I would really appreciate any advice.

You would be going from single to dual channel, which should make a noticeable difference when using the IGP for games. For general computing, having extra RAM will reduce the amount of swapping and increase the amount of stuff cached by the OS, which MAY make a noticeable difference depending on how you use your PC.

In my case, I'm always using at least 10GB of RAM due to having over a dozen programs open most of the time, so I need at least 16GB RAM to feel comfortable.

In principle, two DIMMs with exactly the same SPD/XMP description would perform exactly the same regardless of brand. Compatibility might be a different issue due to differences in PCB layouts, DRAM die IO pin properties and other parameters.
