Would it be cost efficient to upgrade?

Is upgrading a GTX 460 worth it?

Your average 250-300$ GTX 760 is barely faster than a 3 years old GTX 460. (5006 vs 2665) benchmarks.

So i was wondering, should i upgrade now or wait another year for the price to hit 150$?

I know for a fact I'm gonna switch my AMD Athlon X4 640 for a AMD FX-8320.
150$ for a CPU 233% faster? Yes please.

i agree with your cpu choice thats pretty good.
Also i dont think you will need to upgrade your gpu as long as it can play all the games that you play.

I guess I'll wait a year.
All the games i play still run at 80-120fps in 1680x1050 at max settings.

However, my CPU is really starting to take a beating and so is my HDD.
I might spend money on a SSD instead of a GPU, the capacity and price are much better than what they used to be.
200$ for a 250GB SSD seems "fair".

Yes ssds rock :D got 2 Samsung 840 evo 250gb in raid0, even before I bought the second one everything was blazing fast and raid0 made it even faster (and I actually got the two 250gb ssd for less then one 500gb, but that was just luck)
